62nd day

Thursday. I baked snicker-doodles today. It was hard, I needed cream of tartar, and I have no idea what that is in Danish and neither did my host mom, so I had to improvise. I looked up Cream of tartar on the internet and found that when combined with baking soda (or was it powder? I always get those 2 mixed up) it made baking powder (or soda). So I reasoned that if I just added the amount of the baking soda/powder and cream of tartar and replaced it with baking powder/soda it would work. And it did kinda the cookies were not light and fluffy like they usually are, but more hard like the kind you get in stores, but they still taste good. So cooking in another country is interesting.
