6th day

This day was interesting. I got up and left Johns house and went back to my house that I'm staying in now. The next noteworthy thing that happened was that we went to a party. It was a girls 18th birthday, a verry important age for the Danish because that is when you can drive, buy cigerets (smoking and drinking are not frowned upon much in in Denmark), and other things. Danish partys are verry different then english partys. First they will drink and socialise, then they all eat a big buffet style dinner, and then they get together to give presents and sing (whatever you feel like not just Happy Birthday, in fact they didn't sing that at all haha), then you have dessert and hang out. So while everyone else is drinking they give you sparkle water, or carbinated water, witch tastes gross! The dessert was really good, and the socialising was mostly in Danish unless they were talking directly to me, so I only caught a fue random words and phrases like, Justin Bieber! or I will kill your mother! lol... they still won't tell me what that was about. But yeah that is a Danish party and the conclusion of my day :)

  1. Ah-h-h, bottled mineral water. Brings back memories. You're right, it takes getting used to, but it's not bad after awhile, especially chilled.
